Fast Facts About the IBCLC Exam
Knowing what to expect on test day can help. Here’s the run-down:
- You will answer 175 computer-based questions.
- The exam will have two parts.
- Most of the questions in Part Two will be associated with an image (a photograph, drawing, or chart).
- You will have four hours to complete the exam.
- Within each part, you will be able to go back and review questions you have already answered. However, once you move on to Part Two, you will not be able to go back to Part One.
- There are no penalties for wrong answers, so it’s best to answer every question.
- Typically, between 70 and 80 percent of first-time test takers pass the exam!
